Interested in Developing a Project with Arete?
Arete partners with projects that appropriately fit its founding purpose: to develop large-scale, collaborative, interdisciplinary research projects. To begin a project, please send an email to arete@uchicago.edu. In your email, provide brief (1-2 sentence) responses to the following questions:
- What question or issue does the project propose to investigate?
- Why does this question require involvement from more than one discipline, division, and/or institution?
- Describe the major challenges to successfully developing this project, and how might Arete be helpful in addressing these challenges.
- If you know of potential funders, please list them along with relevant submission deadlines if applicable.
The Arete Initiative is always eager to explore new projects with faculty, and a staff member will respond to your inquiry as soon as possible.
